tracktag
Altair Tracker

The Altair Tracker is a luggage tracker that works with Apple Find My and with the Android find-my-device network — your suitcase appears directly in your phone’s system app, next to your other devices, with no extra app, no account and no subscription. Setting it up takes around 30 seconds: pull the tab, pair it once, drop it into the inner pocket. The location is shown with street and city, not just as a dot on a map; if the case is nearby, you can make the tag ring. It runs on a coin cell instead of a rechargeable battery — no charging cable in your luggage, no empty battery on departure day, and you change the battery in seconds without tools. Trackers with coin cells are approved by the major airlines for both cabin and hold: the tag may travel in your carry-on and in your checked suitcase. Priced at €29.90 including a spare battery, with a 2-year warranty on the tag.

How accurate is the tracking?

The tag reports its position through other people’s devices within range. At airports, in cities and anywhere people are on the move, the location is very precise and is given with an address. In remote areas with no devices in range, the app shows the last known location. A useful side effect at the baggage carousel: you know before the airline does whether your case has landed or is still sitting at your connecting airport — and you report it with a location instead of a guess.

Do I need an app or a subscription?

No. Tracking runs over the Apple and Android networks, permanently free of charge, with no account with us and no monthly fee. On an iPhone, Find My takes care of it; on every other device, the Android find-my-device network does. Both are already installed on your phone.

Warranty, shipping and returns

Two years of warranty on the tag: if it no longer locates reliably, we replace it free of charge. Covered are the electronics and the tracking function, the speaker behind the ring function, and the housing and seal under normal use — an email with a photo is enough, we usually assess within 48 hours. Not covered are flat batteries, loss of the tag, and damage caused by force. Shipping is free and insured, delivery with DHL in 5 to 12 business days, customs and VAT are included in the price shown. Returns within 100 days.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0934/2422/2534/files/Black_and_White_Minimalist_Music_Studio_Logo_10.webp?v=1791013564
